Honda CB 125 Hornet – Highlights
Honda has launched the CB 125 Hornet, which is the first-ever sportbike from Honda in the 125 cc category in the Indian market. The naked bike looks sporty not just with its design but also with its colour and vinyls. Honda CB 125 Hornet is inspired by the bigger Hornets, such as Hornet 750 and Hornet 1000 SP. It comes with premium components like a muscular tank, USD forks, a Type C charging port and a twin-LED head lamp.

Honda CB 125 Hornet – Engine and Performance
CB 125 Hornet is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine with PGM-FI technology. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It delivers a max power of 10.99hp at 7000 rpm and a max torque of 11.2 Nm at 6000 rpm. The kick to start the engine is missing and offers only self-start like premium bikes.
Honda CB 125 Hornet – Dimensions
The naked bike has a wheelbase of 1330 mm with an overall length of 2015 mm. The figure for the seat height is not provided. The overall height of the bike is 1087 mm with a ground clearance of 168 mm, which is much less than the Bajaj Pulsar N125. The bike comes with machined alloy wheels of size 17 inches both at the front and rear. The front tyre is 80/100 whereas the rear tyre is 110/80.

The bike is built on a diamond frame and offers first in the segment Upside Down Fork (USD) suspension at the front and a monoshock with 5 levels of adjustment at the rear. For braking, the bike comes fitted with a Disc brake at the front and a Drum brake at the rear. The 240 mm disc brake at the front comes with single-channel ABS.
It boasts a muscular fuel tank of 12 L with an estimated range of 640 km. Still waiting for the mileage figure from the ARAI, but owners report a fuel efficiency of 53.5 kmpl according to Bikewale.
Honda CB 125 Hornet – Features
Honda is offering a lot of premium features to improve the riding experience. It has the ignition key on the tank, which gives it a premium look like other premium Honda bikes. The front head lamp is an all-new twin-light setup, which makes the bike easily recognisable.

It has a digital instrument cluster with a TFT display and offers Bluetooth connectivity. By using the Honda RoadSync app, Navigation, calls, messages, and music on the phone can be controlled from the buttons on the bike. The gadgets can be charged on the go using a fast-charging USB-C type charging port located on the side of the front head lamp.

Honda CB 125 Hornet – variants, Price and Rivals
Honda is offering the CB 125 Hornet in one variant only. It is priced at INR 1,12,00 ex-showroom in New Delhi. It is priced higher than its rivals, Hero Xtreme 125R and Bajaj Pulsar N125.


Honda CB 125 Hornet is available in 4 different colours: Pearl Siren Blue with Lemon Ice yellow, Pearl Siren Blue with Sports Red, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Siren Blue with Athletic Blue Metallic.
