2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 finally revealed
Overview
The 2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is a roadster motorcycle that was developed on the company’s newest J-platform, which is intended to provide riders with a far more nimble and enjoyable riding experience than the outdated UCE line. It comes with a 350cc engine that has a top speed of 114kmph. Expected to be priced around Rs. 1.6 lakh.
2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 – design and specs
The Hunter is a traditional Royal Enfield motorcycle in terms of design, with features like a spherical lighting system, a tear-drop fuel tank, switchgear and an instrument cluster that were taken from the RE Meteor 350. However, it has a roadster appearance because of its upswept tail, single-piece contoured ribbed seat, and exhaust. With a wheelbase of 1370mm, it will be easier for the rider to navigate, particularly in city traffic. Its seat is 800 millimetres high.
The bike’s twin-downtube spine frame is supported by a set of identical 6-step preload-adjustable emulsion rear shock absorbers and a 41mm front fork with 130mm of travel as on the Meteor 350. It comes with a dual-channel Antilock Braking System, a 300mm front disc, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also has a 270mm rear disc (ABS). Standard tyre sizes for the wheels are 110-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres. The lightest Royal Enfield bike, it hits the scales at 181kg curb.
Engine and transmission
A 349cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a maximum output of 20.2 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and a maximum torque of 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm powers the bike. A 5-speed gearbox is used to transmit the drive to the wheels. Its maximum speed is 114kmph.
With the Hunter, Royal Enfiled claims a mileage of 36.2kmpl. Its 13-litre gasoline tank may therefore provide you with a range of about 470 kilometres.
2022 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 variants and colours
The Retro, Metro, and Metro Rebel models of the Hunter are most likely the three that Royal Enfield will sell. The Metro variants come in six colours: Dapper Ash, Dapper White, Dapper Grey, Rebel Red, Rebel Black, and Rebel Blue, while the base-spec Retro model will only be offered in two single-tone colour options: Factory Black and Factory Silver. The top-spec Metro Rebel trim will be the only one to get the final three colours.
Expected Price
On August 7, the RE Hunter 350’s prices will be released. We anticipate the motorcycle manufacturer would set the price at roughly Rs. 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom), competing with the Jawa Forty-Two, recently launched TVS Ronin.
