All the machines of the Royal Enfield have evolved over the years. All the bikes have under gone thro ugh difficult terrains and travelled thousands of kilometers. The Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the adventure bikes. It has got many prominent upgrades.

Royal Enfield Himalayan – Engine

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a BS 6 compliant, 411 CC single cylinder fuel injected, air cooled, oil cooler engine. It generates a maximum power of 24.3 bhp and a torque of 32 nm. It is mated by a 5 speed transmission with descent highway cruising ability. The weight of the bike is 199 kgs. The fuel tank capacity of the Royal Enfield Himalayan is 15 liters. 

Royal Enfield Himalayan Brakes & Suspension

To have a more controlled ride and easy griping, it comes up with both a 300 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes and switchable Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) as standard. It was built on a half duplex split cradle frame. It is linked to a 41 mm front telescopic fork and a rear mono shock of 180 mm wheel travel. To have an awesome off roading experience, Royal Enfield offers a big 21 inch front spoke wheel and 17 inch rear unit in Himalayan. The tyres are wrapped in dual purpose tubed tyres. 

Royal Enfield Himalayan – Styling & Features

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is very magnificently crafted. A very redesigned windscreen is equipped to minimize windblast and protect the front part from pebbles, mud and insects. A standard bash plate is provided for extra protection of the engine. To accommodate an optional top box a tail rack is offered. To connect your smartphone to the Himalayan through Bluetooth a Tripper navigation assist system is offered. It is powered by Google Maps and the Royal Enfield app. It updates you about the road and notifies you about the ambient temperature, gear position indicator, odometer, trip meter readings, fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer and a digital compass is also shown.

As offered in the previous models a semi digital instrument cluster is also there. Other additional goodies include redesigned seat, a rear carrier, a front rack, and an inclusion of a hazard lamp. The LED lights which are very important are missing. A revised tank braces and a new tan brown seat only available for the MIrage Grey colour add a very aesthetic feature to the bike.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan provides a wide colour scheme. It has 6 colours in its colour scheme. These vibrant colors are Mirage Silver, Gravel Grey, Lake Blue, Rock Red, Pine Green and Himalayan Granite Black.

Royal Enfield Himalayan – Variants & Price

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is offered in 3 wonderful variants. These variants are Himalayan Mirage Silver, Himalayan Rock Red and the Himalayan Pine Green.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is available at a starting price of Rs 2.01 Lakh. The top variant the Himalayan pine green comes at a price of Rs 2.08 Lakh. 

All the elements used in the bike, makes it look very premium and classy but it has become more heavier than before. It has got huge suspension and ground clearance. The engine is very quick and responds very fast. It gives competition to BMW G310 GS, KTM 250 Adventure and KTM 390 Adventure.
