BIC and MMRT have opened their tracks for manufacturers to test their vehicles

The two racing circuits of India Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida and Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT), Chennai have opened their race tracks from 7 June 2020 for manufacturers to test their vehicles. After the lockdown announced in late March, all activities were halted on the tracks.

Maintaining Hygiene

BIC and MMRT have agreed to open the tracks with their own guidelines to maintain social distancing on the tracks. Hand sanitizers will be provided and thermal screening will be done at the entrance. Though Each driver has to bring their own hygiene products, medical kits will be provided in case of emergency.

Both the tracks are operating with half staff which made sanitization of premises quite difficult.

Sporting Activities

Pay and practise sessions are being conducted on the tracks but there is no confirmation of any sporting event till now. Sports Activities are likely to be resumed with National Championship in September.
