The elegant design of Skoda Superb and Rapid has been in the hearts of people for many years. They have been known for making premium cars. 2020 Skoda Rapid TSI is their entry-level sedan car. This sedan comes in six variants with different features. 2020 Skoda Rapid all Variants’ Engine and Specifications

Skoda Rapid uses a 1.0 L TSI, in-line, 3 cylinders four-stroke petrol engine. It delivers a 110 PS of power at max rpm of 5500 and a torque of 175 Nm at max rpm of 4000. It uses the same engine as the Volkwagon Vento. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 18.97 kmpl. The 1.0 L TSI petrol engine is mated with 6-speed manual transmission. Skoda has not offered Rapid with Automatic transmission yet, might be offered in future. 
 
The Skoda Rapid uses disc brakes with inner cooling in front and drum brakes in the rear. ABS comes standard in all variants. Rider, Rider Plus and Ambition are driven by 15inch wheels while Onyx, Style and Montecarlo use 16-inch wheels to drive the car. Skoda Rapid runs with 116mm of ground clearance in laden condition.

Skoda gives its customers a wide range of features to be chosen according to their needs. The six variants of Skoda Rapid come with different features which make sometimes choosing the right model very confusing. Here is the list of important features in Skoda Rapid all models.

  • Black painted roof offered in Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo variant only.
  • Projector lens and LED day running light are available in Ambition, Onyx, Style, and Monte Carlo variant of Skoda Rapid. The Skoda rapid models also come equipped with front and rear fog lights. 
  • Automatically dimming interior rearview mirror comes only in Style and Monte Carlo.
  • Height adjustment for the driver seat is offered in Ambition, Onyx, Style, and Monte Carlo.
  • Rider Plus, Ambition, and Onyx are equipped 16.51 cm central infotainment system while Style and Monte Carlo variants are equipped with a 20.32 cm central infotainment system. 
  • Skoda is offering a cooled glove box, cruise control, Rearview camera, and automatic front wiper system with rain sensor only in Style and Monte Carlo variant of Skoda Rapid.

Apart from Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo and Onyx variants, all the other four models of Skoda Rapid are available in Brilliant Silver,  Candy White, Carbon Steel and Toffee Brown. Monte Carlo edition of Skoda Rapid is offered in Candy White and Flash Red and the Skoda Raid Onyx comes in Candy White and Lapiz Blue. 

 The Ex-showroom price of Skoda Rapid Rider is INR 7.49 lakh while Rider Plus edition is priced at INR 7.99 Lakh. The Skoda Rapid Ambition and Skoda Rapid Onyx has a price difference of only INR 20k and these are priced at INR 9.99 lakh and INR 10.19 lakh respectively. The Premium editions Style and Monte Carlo of Skoda Rapid have priced at INR 11.49 lakh and INR 11.79 lakh. 

2020 Skoda Rapid all models vary in the price range of INR 7.49 lakh to INR 11.79 lakh which bring this Czech-made sedan in competition with Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, VW Vento and India’s most sold sedan under INR 10 lakh Suzuki Dzire.
