The Xpulse 200 was launched, to fill in the gap after Hero MotoCorp removed the Impulse from its series. 2017 EICMA show in Italy first showcased the Xpulse 200. Hero Xpulse 200 – Engine and performance
The Hero Xpulse 200 has a BS6 complaint xSens powered 200cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine. The engine generates up to 18.08 PS at 8500 rpm and 16.45 nm 6500 rpm. It still continues to have a 5-speed gearbox. It has got a new tabular diamond frame. A 37 mm telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock 10 step adjustable suspension at the rear supports the tabular diamond frame. An aluminum bash plate protects the engine from unwanted dirt and rocks.
Dual-purpose tyres give this bike sufficient grip to ride on any type of terrain be it dirt, highway, city potholes or rocky mountains. With a 220 mm high ground clearance, it can surpass all the bumps, rocks and potholes. Dual-purpose tyres are wrapped on the 21 inches and 18-inch front and rear spoke wheels. The Xpulse 200 weighs up to 157 kgs. The fuel tank has a capacity of 14 Litres.
It is equipped with spoke wheels, high rise front mudguard, fork gaiters, bash plate, dual-purpose tyres, an upswept exhaust, high mounted exhaust, knobby tyres and long-travel suspension, which proves the perfect adventure nature of the Xpulse 200. It also features LED lights at both ends.

Coming on to the technological part of the bike, it offers- full-LED headlamp, USB charging ports, and a digital instrument cluster that has Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, SMS alerts, and other bike-related data.
Hero moto corp offers a new optional Hero Connect feature. These connected features include access to several other features like tow alert, accident alert, last parked location, and geo-fencing.
Hero Xpulse 200 now has an option of the rally kit. This kit includes many things like fully adjustable longer travel suspension, Maxxis rally-spec tyres, flatter seat, and handlebar risers. This kit costs Rs 38,000 approximately.
