2021 Aston Martin DBX – Engine and performance

The 2021 Aston Martin DBX is powered by a twin-turbo, 4.0 liter, and V8 engine. It is sourced by the Mercedes AMG. It generates a maximum power of 535 bhp at 6500 rpm and 700 nm of torque at 2200 to 5000rpm. It is mated with a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It has a peak speed of 291 kilometers per hour.

It has got active dampers and a 48 Volt anti-roll system. To maintain agility and to sustain the body rolls and lateral movements, the anti-roll system puts 1400 nm of pressure on each wheel.

Depending on the drive modes and the type of surface, the air suspension can raise the car by 45 mm or can lower it by 50 mm. It has a ground clearance level of 190 mm making it very compatible to have a thrilling off-roading experience.

According to the EPA, the DBX manages to have 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highways.

The interiors of the Aston Martin DBX are equipped with premium quality goodies. You can customize the interior with selected trims. The interiors have got dual-tone beige and indigo color finishing, with dual contrast stitching on the upholstery. The Aston Martin logo is very minutely designed on the headrest of the seat.

The central console has a piano black finishing. You can customize it with your choice of wood inlays as well. It is equipped with a 12.3 inch fully digital cluster with features like ambient lighting, 3 zone climate control, heated front, and rear seats, driving modes, and a Rotary dial with home buttons.

The top options include ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and other fancier features. There is an ample amount of rear-seat space with a sufficient amount of knee room and headroom. There are 22 cubic feet of cargo space and when the rear seats are folded it provides 54 cubic feet of space.

The Aston Marin DBX has a 10.2-inch big infotainment screen. It doesn’t have touch inputs. It is controlled through the steering wheel controls and a rotary knob on the center console. The infotainment system includes features like- Apple CarPlay, built-in navigation, an amazing 14 speaker audio system, and a 12-volt charging outlet with several USBs.

The 2021 Aston Martin DBX is a fun-to-ride SUV. All the premium features and luxury comes at a very heavy price tag. The starting price of the DBX is $ 179, 986. It misses the Driver Assist feature and it has a very outdated infotainment system. It goes up against Lamborghini Urus and the Audi RS Q8.
