Kawasaki has upgraded its 1000CC sports bike Ninja 1000 to BS6 emission standards. The new 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX BS6 is priced at an Ex-showroom price of INR 10.79 lakh. The up-gradation in Ninja is not limited to just emission controls. Kawasaki has made some effective changes to its appearance and performance as well.

Kawasaki has made some major changes to the appearance of Ninja 1000 SX. The new look is inspired by the Ninja ZX family. Ninja 1000 had exhausts muffler on both which gave it a muscular look. Now Ninja 1000 SX is more sporty and leaner with single side exhaust muffler. The twin-sided muffler is also available as after-sales accessories.

2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX BS6 performance

Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX BS6 comes with 1043cc in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. It delivers a whopping 142PS of power at 10000 rpm and 111Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox with Kawasaki quick shifter which enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts providing seamless acceleration and deceleration. The engine is mounted on a twin-tube, Aluminium chassis which gives it lighter weight and good strength. 20221 Ninja 1000SX has 1440 mm of wheelbase and 135 mm of ground clearance with a seat height of 820 mm. Kawasaki has changed braking discs to semi-floating from full floating. The new sports tourer now comes with dual semi-floating 300 mm discs in front and a single 250 mm disc in the rear. The disc brakes use an opposed 4-piston caliper in front and a single-piston caliper for rear brakes.

The sports bike manufacturer has now flooded the Ninja 1000SX with electronic features which not only helpful in safe riding but also give stress-free riding. The green sport tourer has now Electronic Cruise control which means that rider can now enjoy their long rides with less stress. Kawasaki Cornering Management Function is an altogether new feature in this segment. KCMF monitors the engine and chassis parameters and regulates the braking force and engine power to provide smooth entry and exit in a corner and helps rider in holding the intended line through the corner.
The windshield comes with four adjustable positions to provide better wind protection. All lights including side turn indicators are now LED. Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX has now a 4.3″ TFT screen which gives it a high-grade appearance. The bike also comes with smartphone connectivity through its app ‘RIDEOLOGY’.

The new 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX BS6 comes in two colour schemes of Metallic Graphite Grey and the Emerald Blazed Green. The New Ninja 1000SX is INR 50000 costlier than its previous version Ninja 1000. The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX BS6 is priced at an Ex-showroom price of INR 10.79 Lakh. Depending on your region in the country, you can expect this bike to cost you around INR 12 Lakh on road.
